A Message from the Education Coordinator

Creating and sustaining a vibrant connection to God is a lifelong journey.

The United Parish seeks to serve the spiritual need of our entire congregation with cradle-to-elder educational and spiritual formation programs. Education Coordinator works closely with our Board of Education and dynamic lay leaders to offer educational ministries on Sunday mornings and beyond.

Register for Class

The New Sunday School Year has begun, and we need you to register your child/youth for class. Whether you are new to UP or returning, please make sure you fill out one of our registration forms. The form is attached for you to download. Please fill it out and return to Coordinator of Christian Education.

Children's Education

Our Children Education program offers classes for children, divided by grade level. Please join us on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am.

Sunday school, we will explore the meaning and mystery of the Bible, celebrating in worship, education and service. Our children will learn about love and witness shaped and led by the Holy Spirit in wonderful, age appropriate activities.

Youth Education

The Journey to Adulthood Program In 2003, we launched a powerful, multi-year program for our youth called The Journey to Adulthood (J2A). J2A is a six-year program, divided into three two-year components: Rite-13. Named after a liturgical celebration integral to the program, Rite-13 celebrates the gift of gender and provides the foundation for the entire faith exploration program to allow our teens relevant real-life spiritual support as they walk towards (and earn) adulthood. Board of Christian Education

The Board of Christian Education is responsible for overseeing and promoting the entire network of educational ministries for the United Parish. This includes curriculum selection and implementation; teacher recruitment, training, and spiritual development; child protection administration; nursery care; and adult education.

We have several wonderful volunteer teachers who serve our children and youth.

Teachers work in teaching teams and rotate Sundays as the lead and assistant teacher.
